The Bible, a Foundation for Political Discourse

Dear Pattern Realm,
Have I got a treat for you! The Bible as a foundation for political discourse. In this week's podcast I posed this Socratic question. Are the Scripptures used to govern political and personal lives? And once again, our case subject is Donald Lee. He doesn't separate his true religion from his business or politics. In fact he uses his faith and personal life to govern policy platforms like "Energy Independance and Energy Efficient." I've chewed on this during my honeymoon two weeks ago in Salt Lake. But I would be remiss first without having a sponsorship in this blog. Two days ago I sat down with my friend Carter an aspiring politician to get his take on how Scripture should dictate our political and personal lives. The interview was lively in the which we both agreed that we as a people could unite even if everybody doesn't agree. Love and unity is a hallmark in the Bible to goern our personal and political lives. We batted about the term "devisive" which I think is a sissyfied term when I'd much rather call it reactive. Reactive is a trait of the Dragon Culture that says "Agree and respond to me or I'll vanquish you!" That is not using the Scriptures to govern our lives. In Christ, Jimmy Hendrick EYP
