Don’t Givr Up

Heaven’s greetings Pattern Realm

Maybe you know that a week ago I participated in a division toastmasters speech competition in Lubbock, Texas. The outcome of it was disheartening, but one thing has come in my mind, don’t give up!

I was sick the day after the competition and unfortunately had to miss church, so my wife and I had a lovely worship service at home.

Despite the fact that I have gotten better, I have been lethargic and at times discouraged, but I have gained perspective that the contest was only giving myself second best! I aim to be a professional paid public speaker.

I’ve left from that disappointment, some unique perspective that I was settling for second best that I was giving up because I felt like that was expected, and that is not the way my maternal grandfather raised me.

So to put it simple for the longest time I’ve given up on what my ideal should be, but that doesn’t excuse my lack of discipline and determination. I will aim to do better and not let my audience down again
