what does it mean firy Trials Think it Not Strange
God bless you Pattern Realm
We all have trials in life as part of our mortal existence. Disappointments sit backs mental health challenges p even the loss of a loved one through death or divorce.
Today I want to dig deep into what St Peter says in 1 Peter 4:12 4:12 "beloved think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you as though some strange thing happened unto you. "
Let's examine this verse closely. As a restored Christian I believe that life for the most part is about the test. But the blessings come to those of us if we but patiently endure.
Yesterday I had a minor disappointment well it seemed a lot to me and sadly I called my Uncle regimen against myself because I am blind. My Uncle Andy who is the same age as I am corrected me telling me that that was the adversary planting those thoughts in my head. He referred me to the YouTube sermons of theologian Charles Stanley. For the most part I agree with him but my belief some more and mine with the pologians Neil a Maxwell and Jeffrey R Holland. . Oftentimes when we are facing trials like disappointment heartache setbacks mental health conditions like bipolar depression, we have to begin to see the light of the tunnel. Part of it of course is having a vision but the other part is tapping into these three tools that will help you connect with the light of Christ.
1. The Atonement of Jesus Christ; in 1st Peter 4:13 p. This was the first tool that heavenly Father gave me when I was laid up 5 years ago from my heart attack and a fractured skull. "Remember Jenny when you get lonely remember first the atonement of Jesus Christ.". Be here before that when I was laid up a couple of months from a broken leg I became aware and very keen in understanding the atonement of Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross utterly alone, the only two people that were there with him were his mother Mary and his disciple John. But as far as that bigger cup he faced it all alone.
2. The Priesthood: I can't count the number of times that the priesthood of Jesus Christ has blessed my life and the lives of others around me. I am grateful for this priesthood and recently the Lord has asked me to repent so that I can worldly exercise that priesthood.
2. The holy Ghost: let me tell you something the holy Ghost has been a wonderful comfort to me when I have felt sad confused frightened and especially lonely. Bing light up 5 years ago and suffering from deep loneliness the holy Ghost was a wonderful comforter and teacher to me. Because of him what seemed impossible with family and experts became a reality my memory which might have been damaged from the brain surgery I had was fully returning. The holy Ghost is one of the quickest ways they can point you to the light of Christ so that you can endure the fiery trials that come your way
