Living Your Best Days
Today, let me talk to you about how to live your best days.
One thing I have observed since midlife is that there can be a tendency to think that some of our best days are behind us. I'm here to tell you that that is a Lie from the Devil and is not the truth.
Joel 2;25 clearly states that the Lord would restore the years that the Locust has eaten, I discovered that verse back in 1998 and back in those days at the age of 28 I felt that there was only one year eaten by the Locust.
Now I am 54 and with the ravages of covid which began 3 years ago I have began to look at a larger block of time we're after a series of Good Feelings and happiness can disruptions almost a Biblical proportion and his forever changed my life in in so many ways. The emotional critter who wants us to believe that our best years are behind us is the Locust who steals away the blessing but the army of the Lord is against him.
Isaiah 61:7 the Lord promises to give a double portion instead of Shame. Many of us have had trauma in our past that may have some shame involved or even had some points in our past that I've had some deep shame. My trauma from childhood in adolescents has been pushed behind me but my divorce from 1999 took 24 years for heavenly father to push aside all that shame and help me realize that I was purified by him give him a double portion by him so I could do have live and be more.
John 10:10 is where the thief has come to steal kill and destroy but Christ has come to give us the Abundant Life, what is the abundant life? The Abundant Life is fullness plenty and joy with conditions of obedience to Christ. I believe that the scriptures teach the pattern of prosperity and that there's nothing wrong with having these nice things but we must understand that all of these come from belong to and are in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
2 Nephi 2:25 States clearly the reasoning behind the fall of Adam and Eve in order to bring us joy in this Mortal existence but joy happiness and cheerfulness once again come upon conditions and principles of obedience to Jesus Christ
Sincerely in Christ
